The ReHash Tag &#

January 24, 2011

I propose the rehash tag for Twitter users like myself who come across more than one version of the same “news” story.

Twitter users simply need only insert &# after any news story they have seen elsewhere that has since been repackaged, redistributed and umm… rehashed.

To kick things off – below is an example of the rehash tag in my own Tweet stream.

I guess if people didn’t feel they needed more stuff, structures like the one below wouldn’t exist.

Your company, product or service are either a recognized and trusted brand in your audience’s mind or not.

Doesn’t Spelling Matter?

January 21, 2011

I was looking for some hotel information and saw the following AdWords ad with either the misspelling or typo  “3th Night Free”.

Whatever you want to call it, I am pretty sure the Rosewood Hotels Luxury Five Star Hotels and Resorts brand wouldn’t necessarily look highly upon misspellings and or typos being used in their corporate messaging.

Seems like a lot of doodles coming from Google this week.

The latest is the John F. Kennedy doodle commemorating his inaugural address 50 years ago to the day –  Jan. 20, 1961.

Kennedy’s address remains an iconic American speech and is the subject of Google’s Thursday U.S. home-page doodle.

Google’s logo is a word cloud constructed of words that Mr. Kennedy used on that historic day.

Paul Cézanne Google 2010 Doodle

January 19, 2011

Google is paying homage today to Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cezanne. Google announced the homage on their Twitter page, “Today is Paul Cezanne’s 172nd bday. To inform our homepage homage, we made a real oil painting first. Enjoy!”

Google has replaced the search engine’s logo with a painting in his honor.

The tribute has been done to mark Cezanne’s 172nd birthday.

Deal Of The Week?

January 18, 2011

While not the same type of offer as those from coming from group buying sites like Groupon, I thought this was an interesting wrinkle in the trend.

Why Doesn’t Traditional Media Have Labs?

January 16, 2011

If they had developed labs to produce new ideas and innovation, would they have ceded their profits to Silicon Valley?

Solution Developed, Problem Solved

January 15, 2011

Its taken about four years longer than I originally expected but I have determined which business problem my book For Sale By Google solves while also codifying the intellectual property needed to solve it.

Somewhat of a relief after all this time.
