The Associated Press has begun using a service called iCopyright for reselling and monetizing their content.
iCopyright has two pricing structures one for educational / non profit organizations and another for the for profit sector.

Founded in 1998, iCopyright has generated millions of dollars in new licensing revenue for online publishers, and has seven patents pending in the field of automated copyright licensing and permissions.
It will be interesting to learn whether iCopyright helps the Associated Press realize its content monetization goals or not.
