President Obama visited Silicon Valley yesterday and had dinner with its leaders at venture capitalist John Doerr’s home.

The attendee list included Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz, Cisco’s CEO John Chambers, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Genentech Chairman Art Levinson; Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg; former state controller and venture capitalist Steve Westly Doerr, and Stanford University President John Hennessy.

With a collective a market capitalization of over $500 billion sitting at the table, Obama’s toast surely celebrated the triumph Silicon Valley’s ingenuity and success have given both America and the World.
