Although apparently in Beta for several weeks, today was the first time I noticed the Intelligence Beta in my Google Analytics accounts.

The Google Analytics Intelligence Beta can be set up to deliver Daily, Weekly, Monthly automatic and custom website performance Alerts to webmasters.

Intelligence Beta Daily Alerts

Although I haven’t yet set up any custom alerts, the Automatic Alerts self report signicant changes in visitor activity for the time period through either metrics or dimension.

At a minimum, the Google Analytics Intelligence Beta can servce as a rudimentary back up Alarm for web site up time and performance by enabling email alerts when visitor traffic drops 25% below a normal daily level.
